These reversible double gloves are a must to stay warm while having greater flexibility and easier gripping than mittens. It's perfect to clear snow or doing some winter sports like cross-country skiing.
Contrary to some ideas received, they do not become wet at the slightest snowflake; the alpaca, unlike the sheep, does not need lanolin (a fat found in the sheep's fleece) to waterproof. Naturally, the alpaca will slowly absorb the large amounts of liquid and the glove should be really wet before feeling it. The alpaca absorbs up to 3x its weight in water and keeps 8% of its weight in moisture (which one cannot feel)!
As alpaca is a natural fiber that breathes well, it does not develop excess moisture that promotes the cooling of the fingers. It allows you to exercise with the gloves without suffering the consequences. And with this double thickness of alpaca, it's 2x more moisture that can be absorbed!
These gloves are also reversible, so it is possible to use them on dark grey (charcoal) or light grey.
To choose the greatness you need, know that the majority of women will be comfortable with the medium and the majority of men with the large one. To be more precise, it is necessary to measure the distance from the base of the hand (wrist) to the top of the middle finger and compare with the size of the gloves. Choose the size that corresponds to the length or a smaller size, especially for women, who usually have less broad hand than men. To fit snugly, the glove should make a second skin without being uncomfortable (too tight). Unlike a shoe, a knitting stretches! A glove too large will create excess spaces, making the glove less efficient.
